Okay, so yesterday I was at the Japan Festival. http://www.japanfestival.de/
It was great, although I was really sick with a cold (and still am), drowning in university work and dressed in a tight yukata, standing at the entrance for like three hours, greeting guests until I could neither bow nor hear "irasshaimase" anymore. But I was really happy to be able to participate. After my greeting session was over, I worked at the Japan Shop's selling place with two japanese girls (one of them put my yukata on), and the two of them were so lovely and nice. One is a half-japanese, actually, and the other one came to Berlin to study piano, and her German is not that good- although I think it's waaaaaay better than my Japanese. The two of them kept saying how good my Japanese was, and we had lots of fun together. We sold tons of stuff, ate edamame, cheese burgers, sausages, chocolate... One day, we definitely have to go to a karaoke place together. Ah, I'm so happy! Many people seemed to be happy being greeted kindly at the entrance, and one japanese woman even gave me a nashi and another fruit as a present, simply because I helped her with a tiny problem. Everyone was so nice, and I always heard "日本語が上手ですね". I wish I was... Once I get the photos of me in a yukata, I'll upload them a.s.a.p.!!!
What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?
Hm... stay inside, listen to rainy music (like this http://www.last.fm/music/%E5%80%96%E7%94%B0%E4%BE%86%E6%9C%AA/_/Rain or this http://www.last.fm/music/%E4%BA%8C%E5%AE%AE%E5%92%8C%E4%B9%9F/_/%E8%99%B9) and read a good book with a cup of tea. Or write something, a story or a songtext.
Or, go out and dance through the rain!
Thank you! It was lots of trouble putting it on, though (for Yumi-san ^^;)But I had soo much fun! read more
